University of Turku (Finland)

General Information: Founded in 1920, the University of Turku is the second largest university in Finland with approximately 20,000 students. It hosts about 2,500 international students each year. The university is very centrally located and can be reached in about ten minutes from the city center. Turku, the oldest city in Finland, has a population of almost 200,000. Officially, the city is bilingual - Finnish and Swedish - but only about 5% of the population is Swedish-speaking. Turku is located at the mouth of the Aurajoki River into the Baltic Sea and in close proximity to the famous Archipelago Sea, a sea area interspersed with thousands of cliffs.

Study programs and specializations: A three-year bachelor's degree and a two-year master's degree in psychology are offered.

Study schedule: The winter semester begins at the beginning of September and runs until the end of December. The summer semester runs from the beginning of January to the end of May.
